Never shipped them in the original story but after the film... Oh. My. Gosh! *_*;;
Great job with the picture. I especially enjoy the possessiveness of the king and, of cause, the title - black & gold. I always fall for pairing based on contrast
There was not much time to ship them in the book either, they met, developed a friendship and parted so quickly (and without a lot of emphasis to be honest), I wouldn't have guessed that I'd end up shipping the everloving daylight out of them. But the movie picked up their relationship so amazingly and made it into something so intense that I couldn't help myself XD
Awww I'm so glad you noticed the possessiveness ;DDD It's one of my fav things about Thilbo, because y'know... possessiveness and ownership is something so deeply rooted and important in dwarven culture, I don't think they treat their lovers any different than like their precious property. And this again is something so far away from a Hobbit's ideas and mind space! ...Culture clash, different outlooks on the world colliding, possessiveness vs consent... so many interesting things... *___*

It's so sweet ^^
This looks wonderful; Thorin is appropriately rugged and the detail on his armour and mail are gorgeous
